Few raw materials possess the transformative capacity of natural civet.
Made from authentic Ethiopian civet paste and diluted to 10%, this tincture allows you to discover a completely different facet of one of perfumery’s most legendary ingredients. The more aggressive notes present in the fresh raw material gradually soften during maceration, giving way to a complex aromatic richness where warm, animalic, musky, and extraordinarily persistent nuances emerge.
This tincture was prepared on March 3, 2026, by macerating Ethiopian civet paste in perfumer’s grade 96° ethyl alcohol. Since then, its maturation process continues, during which the different aromatic components slowly integrate, developing an increasingly rounded, harmonious, and sophisticated fragrance.
Its aroma evokes aged leather, warm skin, tobacco, dark honey, balsamic nuances, and delicate musky facets. Used in minimal quantities, civet has the ability to add volume, diffusion, and naturalness to a composition, significantly enhancing the richness and longevity of floral, oriental, woody, and animalic accords.
For centuries, civet was a cornerstone of high perfumery, appreciated not only for its characteristic aroma but also for its extraordinary ability to enhance other raw materials and provide a sense of depth difficult to achieve by other means.
This 10% tincture offers a practical and accessible way to work with one of the most important animalic raw materials in the history of perfumery.
