Prepared from mollusc operculum sourced from the Red Sea and macerated at 30% in perfumery-grade ethyl alcohol.

Historically identified by numerous authors as one of the possible ingredients used in ancient sacred incense, operculum develops a complex and unique aromatic profile during maceration. Its fragrance combines marine, mineral, and animalic nuances with smoky, leathery, and slightly balsamic facets reminiscent of certain ancient incenses.

In small quantities, it adds depth, texture, and a mysterious character to oriental compositions, incense accords, animalic perfumes, and creations inspired by historical perfumery.
