VERDIGRIS

Verdigris is the name of the green patina that slowly forms on copper and bronze over time. A transformation of matter in which warm metallic tones become veiled beneath a green, aged and mineral surface. That same image defines the character of this perfume.

Verdigris opens bright and aromatic, with a clean freshness that suggests citrus without ever becoming truly citrusy. Lavender and geranium bring a dry, herbal and classical character before giving way to the true heart of the composition.

Moss then becomes the undisputed protagonist: deep, damp, green and slightly earthy. Around it, a dark and elegant patchouli develops, creating a dense, textured accord reminiscent of wet vegetation, bark and soil.

Myrrh, benzoin and resins add depth and balsamic warmth beneath this green mantle, like the coppery tone that still remains visible under an old layer of verdigris.

The result sits somewhere between the classical structure of a fougère and the depth of a chypre, with a warm, resinous base that prevents it from fully belonging to either world.
