IRANIAN ROSE ESSENTIAL OIL
Botanical name: Rosa × damascena Mill.
Origin: Iran
Distilled part: Fresh petals.
Extraction method: Steam distillation.
Appearance: Mobile liquid when kept above its crystallization point (20°C)
Color: Pale yellow to yellowish green (depending on lot)
Physical state at 20°C: Semisolid or crystallized.
Scent: Intense rosy floral with citrus, honeyed, green and slightly spicy undertones.

Chromatic characteristics
The green color observed in freshly distilled oils is attributed to the presence of compounds from the azulene family. With aging, these compounds progressively degrade, and the oil acquires more yellow tones.
Distillation yield: Extremely low.
Average yield:
0.02–0.05 %
Approximate equivalent:
2–5 kg of essential oil for every 10,000 kg of fresh flowers.
