Decadencia Florale revolves around red champaca: a dense, fleshy flower that, to me, evokes the moment just before it begins to wilt. There is something in its scent that stirs and attracts at the same time, a decadent beauty that is intense and slightly disconcerting.

The opening combines bitter orange with this floral presence. The sensation is almost that of an orange-coloured flower, still alive, but on the edge of the abyss.

As it evolves, a floral, vanilla-scented, powdery heart emerges. Rose brings the composition to life, while mimosa accompanies its soft texture. The perfume gradually acquires a denser, more oriental character without becoming heavy.

Champaca melds with oak and a vanilla with a liquor-like profile. The vanilla CO₂ extract brings nuances that almost evoke whisky, far removed from the sweetness of a dessert vanilla. It feels like a fleshy flower over wood, threaded with a vanilla warmth.

In the drydown, oak and Virginia cedar become more present, while civet caresses the composition and adds a texture reminiscent of silk. The perfume ends in a warm, enveloping, silky sensation.
